About This Anchorage

Leppneeme is a small fishing community on the eastern shore of Tallinn Bay. The bay provides a sheltered anchorage well away from the busy ferry traffic and marina activity of Tallinn and Pirita. The landscape is characteristic of the Estonian coast — pine forests reaching to the water's edge, sandy beaches, and small timber summer cottages (suvilad) tucked between the trees. Leppneeme is a practical overnight anchorage for boats transiting the eastern Gulf of Finland or making a coastal passage along the Estonian north coast. The area is quiet and authentic — a genuine contrast to the tourist infrastructure of central Tallinn.
