About This Anchorage
Primorsko is a Bulgarian seaside resort of modest scale — a genuine contrast to the vast tourist complexes of Sunny Beach. The town occupies a small peninsula creating two bays, each offering different wind protection. Primorsko was developed as a resort area with international youth camps during the communist period (the International Youth Centre here was well known in Eastern Europe), giving it a slightly different architectural character from other Bulgarian coastal towns. Today it's a low-key resort popular with Bulgarian families and an increasing number of international visitors discovering the quiet southern coast. The double bay configuration makes this a useful all-wind anchorage — always one side of the peninsula is comfortable. The town has adequate provisions and a pleasant beach promenade.
