Anchorages in Carlisle Bay & Bridgetown
Barbados's premier anchorage — five historic shipwrecks diveable from the bay, the ARC+ Atlantic crossing finish line, The Boatyard beach bar, and Bridgetown's UNESCO World Heritage Garrison and full provisioning facilities.
Customs clearance mandatory — five shipwrecks on bay floor
Q flag mandatory on arrival. Clear customs and immigration at Bridgetown Port Authority (Carenage) before landing any crew. No anchoring on coral — sand only throughout Carlisle Bay. Five historic wrecks (Stavronikita, Berwyn, Bajan Queen, Elli, Lord Combermere) lie on the bay floor — do NOT anchor on or within 30m of wreck structures or dive buoys. VHF 16 for Port Authority. ARC+ season (November–January) brings 200+ boats — arrive early for best position.
