About This Anchorage
Delaford Bay is a small fishing village community on Tobago's northeast coast — a genuine local stop between the larger settlements of Charlotteville and Speyside. The village is compact, the beach is used by fishermen, and the atmosphere is authentically Tobagonian. The bay faces east and receives Atlantic trade wind swell from the east and southeast, limiting overnight comfort to settled conditions. Nearby Delaford Bridge spans the small river at the bay head — a favourite spot for birdwatching in the adjacent riverine vegetation. Leatherback turtle nesting occurs on the beach (March–August). A community with minimal tourist infrastructure — come prepared with your own provisions.
