About This Anchorage
Thong Sala is Koh Phangan's main town and port on the southwestern coast, the island's ferry hub and provisioning centre. The anchorage off the pier has good holding in sand and mud with protection from N through E and S. Koh Phangan is famous for the Full Moon Party at Haad Rin beach (southeast coast) but Thong Sala itself is quieter and more authentically Thai. Good facilities for cruisers including fuel, water, and fresh provisions.
