About This Anchorage

Reduit Beach Bay is the main outer anchorage for Rodney Bay and the most popular beach stop on St. Lucia's north coast. The wide bay has a long white sand beach lined with beach bars, restaurants, and watersports operators. The anchorage in 3–6m of clean white sand offers excellent holding. This is the preferred spot for cruisers who want proximity to Rodney Bay's amenities without paying marina fees. The Spinnaker bar and Bay Gardens Beach Resort are ashore. The bay is sheltered from the west and north by the marina causeway but open to the east and the NE trades — expect a gentle swell overnight in most conditions. The dinghy landing at the beach is easy in calm weather.
