St. Lucia's primary sailing hub — ARC trans-Atlantic finish at Rodney Bay Marina (253 berths, largest in eastern Caribbean), Pigeon Island National Landmark, excellent sand holding throughout, and easy proximity to Castries capital. Trade winds NE 15–20kt provide natural shelter in north-facing bays.
Customs mandatory on arrival — ARC season booking essential
Customs and Immigration clearance is mandatory within 24 hours of arrival at St. Lucia — do not go ashore before clearance is complete. Pre-register at SailClear (sailclear.com) to reduce processing time. VHF 16 for Rodney Bay Marina dock assignment. ARC November/December: Rodney Bay Marina fills completely with 200+ vessels — book berths months in advance. Overflow anchorage south of marina (Reduit Beach Bay) has excellent sand holding in 3–5m. Navigation licence: EC$200–400 on vessel size.
