Anchorages in Constanța & Central Black Sea Coast
Central Romanian Black Sea Coast — NE exposure and entry formalities
All anchorages along this coast are exposed to the NE — the dominant summer wind direction on the Romanian Black Sea. Most are fair-weather-only stops; depart promptly if NE winds build above F3. Entry formalities are mandatory: Romania is EU but NOT Schengen — fly the Q flag and complete Customs + Border Police + Port Authority check-in at Tomis Marina, Constanța on first arrival. Constanța port has heavy commercial shipping in its approaches — maintain AIS watch and give commercial vessels priority. Currency is Romanian Leu (RON) not Euro.
