About This Anchorage

Darłowo is one of the oldest towns on the Pomeranian coast — its history stretches back to the medieval Hanseatic League. The harbour lies on the Wieprza river, 2km inland from the sea. The old town has a remarkable 14th-century castle (one of the best-preserved Pomeranian Gothic castles) and an interesting local history museum. The resort settlement of Darłówko at the harbour entrance is a busy summer destination with beaches and a lively promenade. The harbour handles fishing vessels and occasional small cargo — yachts are accommodated in the marina area. Darłowo is less visited by sailing yachts than Kołobrzeg, giving it a more local character.
