About This Anchorage

Brandon's Beach is a popular and lively public beach on the south Platinum Coast between Bridgetown and the main hotel strip — a genuine local Barbadian beach scene. On weekends, Brandon's is alive with Bajans barbecuing, playing music, swimming, and doing what Caribbean beach culture does best. The anchorage provides a great vantage point on this authentic local scene. The proximity to Bridgetown (2.5nm south) makes it convenient for customs and provisioning. The beach has food vendors selling fresh fish, chicken, and Bajan rum punch. This is the best place on the west coast to experience the island's culture away from the tourist hotel strip.
