About This Anchorage

Koh Maphrao (Coconut Island) lies just off Phuket's northeast coast, a quiet alternative to the busy Phuket marinas. The island is largely residential and undeveloped. The anchorage on the western side provides good shelter in the NE monsoon. A good overnight stop for yachts transiting between Phuket and Phang Nga Bay, offering a calm alternative to the busy Ao Chalong anchorage.
