About This Anchorage
Koh Mook is famous for Tham Morakot (Emerald Cave) — a hidden beach accessible only by swimming through a dark 80m sea cave at the right tide, emerging into a stunning sunlit lagoon. The island has a thriving Muslim fishing village, beautiful beaches, and relatively limited development. The eastern anchorage (off Had Farang beach) has good holding in sand and mud and is protected from NE winds. One of southern Thailand's most rewarding overnight stops.
