About This Anchorage

A fair-weather offshore anchorage east of the Łeba harbour entrance on the open Pomeranian coast. The clean sandy bottom provides excellent holding in calm conditions but this is strictly a day anchorage or overnight stop in settled southerly weather only. The coastline here is part of Słowiński National Park with pristine dune landscapes backing onto the beach. In calm summer conditions this is a beautiful spot — clear Baltic water, sandy beach, dune landscape — but the instant a northerly develops it becomes untenable. Keep an anchor watch if staying overnight and be ready to enter Łeba harbour or proceed offshore.
