About This Anchorage

Loksa is a small Estonian coastal town on the north coast, best known as the former site of a major Soviet-era shipyard. The AM Luther woodworking factory and later the Loksa Shipyard (now Estonian Dry Dock) were significant Soviet industrial sites. The harbour area retains an industrial character but provides a practical overnight stop for boats making the coastal passage between Tallinn and the eastern Gulf of Finland. The nearby Lahemaa National Park (Estonia's largest national park) begins east of Loksa — a landscape of rivers, waterfalls, manor houses, and remarkable boulder fields.
